• Grammar, punctuation and spelling
• Consistency – of terminology and spelling (in line with your style guide, if available)
• Flow of information and document structure – to ensure they are logical

... You may be satisfied with your document’s structure and wording but want to ensure that no errors have crept in. (In particular, I can spot mistakes that a spellchecker cannot – such as if words are used incorrectly or names misspelled, or if there are obvious factual errors.)

... Or you may want your text rewritten for a particular purpose and/or group of readers. For example, you may want material rewritten for a website and/or presented in plain English.
